Beautiful pair of separators, replica of the archaeological find at the Grave 854 from Björkö (Birka), Sweden. Dated from the 10th century.
These chain separators were a very common fitting used by women during the Viking Age, in conjunction with the turtle brooches. These specifically were used to separate the different glass beads pendants, which were hanging from the turtle brooches, as you could observe at the attached image, property of the Historiska Museet from Stockholm.
These replicas are handmade of bronze.
