This small cup or chalice is a replica of the one found in the burial of the King Gorm from Jelling, a small village at Vejle, Denmark. It is dated from the 10th century, coinciding with the reign of the monarch.
Features Jelling-style entwined snake figures. It was precisely the village where it was found, which gives its name to this style.
The original was made of silver. Our version is made of high quality bronze, with a sterling silver plating finishing.
