Beautiful but simple hand forged amulet.
Axe-shaped pendants were used in Europe during the Iron Age, but also was a common amulet from Ireland to Russia (specially popular in slavic regions) from the 9th-12th centuries.
During the Viking Age, these amulets were made of bronze, amber, silver, iron, tin alloys, lead and bone.
The axe could symbolize the power and strength as it is the attribute of the warrior, but also the weapon used by gods Perun or Ukko (in the slavic and finnish mythologies).
Hand made of iron.
