At the island of Eigg, Inverness-shire, Scotland, a sword handle was found. It’s made of bronze inlaid with silver, viking-styled, and dated from the 9th century.
The exquisite ornamentation of the original indicates its pertainance to a character of great relevance or belonging to the nobility.
Blade made of EN45 spring steel. The pommel and guard, as the original one, are made of casted aged bronze.

A wooden scabbard covered with leather and brass casted fittings is included.
Semi-sharp blade (1mm edge), not suitable for combat. Only suitable for display.
