Amazing mjolnir, replica of the archeological find owned by the Private Collection of P. Meier, in southern Germany. Its exact provenance is unknown as it was purchased in a batch in the 1920s along with other pieces.
Dating from the 10th century or early 11th.
The original is made of silver and features a characteristic eagle head in the setting. The interlaced knot that we can see in the center could represent the cardinal points: Norðri, Suðri, Austri and Vestri; since the god Thor was also known to be protector of travelers and adventurers.
This replica hand made of bronze.
Measurements: 4 x 3 cm (almost the same size as the original piece).
