Sword chape for scabbard sword, based on the archaeological find from Haithabu, Denmark, and dated from the 10th century.
This piece was used to protect and decorate the end of a sword scabbard. Many of these pieces has been found and they present a huge variety of decorative motifs.
Hand-made with bronze.

Two sizes are available, a thick one made for wooden core sword scabbards and a thinner one good for thin leather sword scabbards or seax sheath.

Thin chape measurements:
External dimensions: 6.5 x 6.4 cm.
