These brooches have a sturdy needle and could easily be worn on garments made from thick wool. There are a few other examples of flat tongue-shaped brooches. Some of them were used as part of the feminine outfit, to hold the straps of the dress, in the same way as the well-known turtle brooches. This model has a ring at the bottom that can be used to hang necklaces or other ornaments, such as an amulets or personal hygiene accessories.
Handmade of bronze.

Important: these brooches are prototypes of a “second quality”. The ring or hanger is not drilled and present some minor imperfections which do not affect their functionality.
