This sword is a replica of the Norwegian sword of Hedmark, dated to the late 9th Century. The original sword is kept at the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo.
The blade is double-edged with a wide fuller. It has a straight guard and a five-lobed pommel, both made of steel. The tang is riveted to the pommel. The grip is wrapped in a leather strip. The scabbard is made of wood covered in leather and features a steel bolster and a wooden belt loop (maximum belt width: 5 cm).
Available in two versions: decorative (1mm decorative edge, not suitable for combat) and with a blunt blade for combat.

The steel used here is not rust-proof and might show slight surface tarnishing in places. We recommend you to maintain the blade on a regular basis, for example using Ballistol Universal Oil, which is ideally suited for steel care.
