Crucifix inspired by the cross of Ixworth, found in 1856 in an early medieval tomb and was completely decorated with cloisonné of red garnets applied to a gold waffle base that shimmered through the gems.
It is dated from the 7th century and now it is owned by the Ashmolan Museum in Oxford.
This piece is handmade of bronze, filled with red glass flow imitating the red garnets at the original one.
Measures: 4.5 x 3.9 cm.
