This beautiful Viking drinking horn has a rim decorated with brass sheets, inspired by a find from Birka.

Ladder-shaped fixings, made of thin sheets of metal, are known from various Viking Age sites and are particularly common in Denmark, but are also found in Sweden, Norway, the Baltic countries and Ukraine.

This replica was based on a Viking drinking horn setting from Birka, found in grave BJ 532 and originally made of thin silver sheet.

In contrast to the historical find, this drinking horn has a brass rim, which was fixed to the edge of the horn with small nails and an adhesive.

The Viking horn is made of authentic cow horn and carefully crafted. It has a beautifully polished surface that highlights the natural pattern of the horn. Since horn is a natural product and comes in countless varieties from white to brown to black, the images shown here may differ from the horn available in each case.

The horn is sealed with a special, food-safe varnish on the inside for worry-free enjoyment.

The drinking horn is available in two sizes: M and L with a capacity of approximately 0.3 l and 0.4 l respectively.
