This Early Medieval Bobruysk Helmet is a detailed reproduction of a remarkable helmet discovered near Bobruysk, Belarus, and dated to the late 10th or early 11th century. With its distinctive pointed shape, it is an excellent choice for Viking Rus, early medieval and Eastern European reenactment.
The original Bobruysk helmet was made of iron and decorated with bronze elements. Its design reflects the cultural influences of the early Rus, Scandinavian Vikings and the nomadic peoples of the Eastern European steppe.
This reproduction is carefully handcrafted from 1 mm brass sheet, with reinforced areas of up to approx. 3 mm, and finished with steel fittings and copper-coloured reinforcing bands. Numerous rivets and decorative metal elements on the front and sides recreate the characteristic appearance of the historical original.
The interior features an adjustable leather liner for a comfortable fit, while the sturdy leather chin strap with brass buckle provides a secure hold. The distinctive pointed top completes its authentic early medieval appearance.
