The Franciska or Frankish axe is a one-handed war ax, useful for close combat and as a throwing weapon.
Popularized by the Franks, it was before a traditional weapon of the West Germans and was used regularly in the 5th to 8th centuries by the Franks, from the Merovingians to the Carolingians.
The head is forged from 51 CRV4 high carbon tempered steel, the shaft is made of oak wood.
Blunt edge, rounded points, designed for safe combat.
