Woman-shaped viking pendant, replica of the archaeological find of Tuna, Sweden. Dated from the 9th – 10th centuries.
It is thought that represents Freyja or Freya, a major goddess in Norse & Germanic mythology, goddess of love, beauty and fertility.People invoked her for happiness in love, assist in childbirth and to have good seasons.
Freyja was also associated with war, death, magic, prophecy and wealth.
Hand-made of bronze.
