Hand-forged caltrop in iron

Replica of a medieval caltrop, also known as a crow’s foot or wolfsangel. It consists of four sharp prongs, three of which form the main pillars, while the third always points vertically upwards. The Romans used caltrops, called Tribulus. In the Middle Ages, thousands of them were scattered across battlefields before the start of fighting to weaken enemy cavalry.

Our reconstruction is hand-forged from a single piece of iron, with the individual prongs separated while hot. Its use is reserved for demonstrations of authenticity.

Details:
– Weight: approx. 100 g
– Height: approx. 7 cm
