Medieval crampons inspired by the archaeological find from Tønsberg. Dated from the Viking Age.
Numerous crampons have been found in other archaeological sites: Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Poland, Latvia and Old Russia, for example, dated from different centuries, from the Middle Ages up to the 14th century, some of them with very similar designs. Leather pieces have even been found that give us clues about how they were used.
Handcrafted of iron.
Approximated size: 7 x 6 cm.
