The lucet is a medieval tool used for weaving cord. Is believed that first lucets are dated back to Viking Age. This kind of tool was used during Middle Ages in whole Europe.

The wire obtained with this technique usually was used on clothing.

This lucet is made of finelly carved horn.

 

Measures: 10 x 2.8 x 0.3 cm, with a hole of 5 mm diameter.
