Beech wood flat plate, finely crafted and of easy storage and transport.

Completely suitable for their use, as it has been treated just with linseed oil.

There are many similar archaeological find dated from the Medieval Times, as the wooden cups, bowls and spoons found at Coppergate and dated from its Viking occupation; and the dishes found on the site of the medieval hospital of St Mary Spital at London, where a total of 18 wooden vessels were found, dated from the late 13th century.
