This helmet was made after the one kept on the Prague Castle who supposedly belonged to Saint Wenceslaus I, a Czech monarch from the early 10th century. This is one of the earliest conical helmets made in one piece that at the time where starting to substitute the comparatively weaker Spangenhelms. Without any doubt is remarkable its beautiful riveted cross-shaped nasal. Meanwhile it’s decoration is some times wrongly related to Odin it’s more probably that corresponds to a conventionalized Christian cross representation. Even though the nasal is richly decorated on the original, we offer a clean version for you to make your own customizations. Without any doubt this is the perfect protection from the wealthy warriors from the 10th c. onwards.
