Shield Boss from Groix Island

Hand forged boss shield, replica of the find from Groix Island, France. Dated on the 10th century.

Made with 3mm thickness steel sheet.

Diameter of 20cm. Weight: 800g.

Optional iron handforged nails:

• Length: approx. 5 cm
• Head diameter: approx. 1.4 cm
• Thickness at the base of the head: approx. 4 mm

Note: The installation of the nails could require the modification of the shieldboss or the nails theirselves, as their section is square, not round.
