These amazing earrings are a replica of the one found on the Zawada Lanckorońska treasure, found at a small village of Poland. They are dated on the late 10th century.

There are many finds like this, with a great variety of shapes, specially on Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. They were used until 12th century.

They also are known as “temple rings”, because women wore them to decorate their headdresses and these rings were attached to their hair or to hand-woven ribbons around their head, at temple level.

They also could be worn as a modern earring.
