Blade for making a knife for medieval reenactment. Based on exemplars found on the Haithabu / Hedeby site.

This typology was widely used and there are many examples also on the archaeological site of Jorvik (York).

The blade is made of 1085 carbon steel, tempered with a hardness of 55-57 HRC.
It presents a beautiful “brut de forge” finishing and a scandi edge and although it has a sharped edge it could need an extra sharpening.
