This beautiful oval-shaped brooch is inspired by several archaological finds from the Viking Era, as the brooch from Tromsø, Norway, dated from the late 7th – early 8th centuries, which shows similar lines.
Due to its small size, this brooch could not work as “turtle” brooch or as closure for an appron dress, but simply as a closure for the neck of a tunic.
This reproduction is handmade with bronze.
