Traditional Big Ceramic Beaker

Traditional Big Ceramic Beaker

17,00

This clay drinking vessel with a capacity of 0.5 litres was created on a potter’s wheel in the same way as in ancient times. With the help of archaeological institutes, historical preservation agencies and museums, it was possible to reconstruct this ancient drinking vessel. It is made of ochre clay that was fired at 1200°C, making it relatively durable.

For hygienic reasons, it was glazed over the rim. The bottle-green glaze was considered particularly elegant in the 16th century. The glaze is not only food-safe but also free of lead compounds and toxic substitutes.

Please note that the cup is not calibrated and is therefore intended exclusively for private use.
