The mouth harp is a virtually universal instrument. Depending on the time and origin, it could be made of wood, bone or metal.

The first document that refers to this instrument is a Chinese drawing from the 4th century BC. Over the centuries this instrument, commonly used by travelers and settlers, has spread throughout the world, and today we can find it as part of the tradition of almost any people or culture.

The harp that we present is based on exemplars from Central Asia, from the region of Rajasthan.
