Axe from Gotland

Blunt axe, for combat, based on the archaeological find from Gotland, Sweden. Dated on 9-10th century.

We must not forget that, although the axe was mainly a tool, it could be used as a weapon, and its effect was devastating.

Handmade with steel, with blunt finish and a security edge of 5 mm. The pole is made of oak wood.

Axe head: 12.5 x 8 cm.

Overall length with pole: 80 cm.

Weight: 1000 g.
