Replica of a campaniform frankish vessel. Dated on the 6th-7th centuries.

 

This type of glass was very common throughout Europe. Many exemplars have been found in what was the Frankish Kingdom in the Merovingian era, that is, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, almost all of the current Netherlands, France and Austria and the western part of Germany.

Vessels with this peculiar form of bell have also been found in southern Spain, in Visigothic archaeological sites.

There are also archaeological finds like this on Scandinavia, dated from the 7th century to the 11th.

This piece is fully handmade.
