This sword is replica of the archaeological find from Haithabu (Denmark / Northern Germany).

This sword is dated on the 9th century. The exquisite ornamentation of the original indicates its pertainance to a character of great relevance or belonging to the nobility.

Made of high carbon steel EN45. Pommel and guard made of antiqued casted brass.

 

– Overall length 90 cm.

– Blade length 74 cm.

– Maximum blade width: 50 mm.

– P.O.B.: ~12 cm from guard.

– Handle: 11 cm.

– Guard: 13 cm.

– Weight (without scabbard): ~1.450 grams.

Wooden scabbard covered with leather and brass casted fittings is included.

Semi-sharp blade (1mm edge), not suitable for combat. Only suitable for display.
