This beautiful brooch is a based on the archaeological find of Tranby, Buskerud, Norway. It’s dated on the 10th century.
This clover-shaped brooch is of a very familiar tipology, and there are several similar finds. The one found in Tranby, at the province of Buskerud, at the west of Østlandet, presents a transition artistic decoration between borre and jelling style.
Was commonly used by women to close the neck tunic or a coat.
Handmade with bronze.
Measures: 5.2 x 5.2 cm.
