Replica of a pair of winingas hooks found at Birka, dated from the 10th century.

These hooks were found at the Grave 905 on the archaeological site of Birka at the Björkö Island. They were located near the knees of a man who wore linen trousers.

These hooks were very used by men and women during the Viking Era and there are several finds at Russia, England and Scandinavia.

The small eyelets facilitate the sweing of these hooks at the top of the wool band.

Handmade with bronze.

Measures: 3 x 2 cm.
